INTEL 303 Q - Women in Intelligence and National Security (3 credits)

This class provides insights into women’s leadership and professional development in Intelligence and National Security. The course begins with an overview of feminist theory and the masculinization of the state. Students will also learn to read and think critically about how gender and other identity markers like race, class, ability, and citizenship shape women’s experiences in these fields. In addition to in-class discussions, this course provides students with the opportunity to meet and learn first-hand from women who are employed in the field of Intelligence and National Security while completing an experiential project on the issue of human trafficking.
