ENGL 669 - Studies in American Literature (3 credits)

(Prereq: Admission to MALS Program) Course gives students the opportunity to read literary texts and critical theory that engage with concepts of Americanness from a variety of cultural viewpoints and to explore how these texts are connected to broader intellectual, social, and historical processes.
