PHIL 510 - Advanced Topics in Ethics and Political Philosophy (3 credits) (Prereq: Admission to MALS Program or permission of instructor) This course is an advanced study of topics in ethical theory, applied ethics, and/or political philosophy. Topics may include normative ethical theories, such as ethical egoism, utilitarianism, and deontology; topics in applied ethics, such as intellectual property rights, race and gender, bioethics, and environmental ethics; or topics in political philosophy, such as political legitimacy, authority, property, liberty, and justice.
