                  ANTH 381  Museums and Communities  -  3 credits    Equivalent: HIST 392         This course provides a comprehensive overview of the field of museum studies, covering the history, development, and definitions of a museum. This course will explore how museums function, including operations, interpretation and representation of the past, exhibitions, collections care, education, and public programs. Students in this course will examine current practices and issues in museums, with an emphasis on museums’ relationships to their communities, and their roles in society and culture.
