ARTH 110 Introduction to American Film - 3 credits

This course presents an introduction to American film history, focusing on the aesthetic, technological, and social developments that shaped the medium and culture in the twentieth century. Emphasis will be placed on full length screenings, with dissection of formal content as well as historical context, and technical aspects of the medium.
