ARTS 370 Relief Printmaking - 3 credits

Prerequisite(s): ARTS 103 and ARTS 112, or permission of the instructor
This course combines review and refinement of existing cutting and printing processes leading to the extension of skill acquisitions. Single block and multiple block print editions will be produced in black and white and color. Complex registration and printing methods will be covered. Emphasis will be on technique, design, and developing personal expression and meaning. Studio experiences are supported by presentations and readings to provide an historical and contemporary context for relief printmaking.
