GEOL 111 Physical Geology - 3 credits

This course illustrates the methods and enterprise of science as they have been applied to interpret the earth. The technical subject matter is concerned as much with natural processes as with their products-the minerals, rocks, fossils, structure and surface forms of the earth. The course emphasizes the interplay between hypothesis, experiment, and observable fact that characterizes productive physical science.
