HIST 498 Senior Seminar - 3 credits Prerequisite(s): completion of HIST 250 with a grade of ‘C’ or better A seminar designed to expose students to the most important varieties of historical interpretation and the methodologies employed by historians through the centuries. While the focus will be on historiography and methodology in the modern world, some consideration will be given to examples from earlier periods. To provide continuity and coherence, professors may elect to focus a significant part of the course on the historiography and methodology of a particular topic in their area of expertise. A minimum of fifteen pages of graded, written work, and at least one graded oral presentation is required. Any departmental exit exam(s) will be administered in this course.
