JOUR 311 Principles of Advertising - 3 credits


Prerequisite(s): JOUR 201  
Introduces the role and purpose of advertising in communication and the economy. Topics may include advertising theory, audience development, media selection, media buying, reach, frequency, creative strategy, and tactics. Students use theories to evaluate advertising messages, creative development, and audience impact.
