MCJ 421 Contemporary Jazz/Commercial Arranging - 3 credits

Prerequisite(s): MUS 216 and MUS 218
A course open to all students interested in arranging for small jazz and commercial ensembles. This includes study in instrumental and technical information, melodic and harmonic development, musical density, ensemble combinations, and arranging styles. Preparation of arrangements for studio use and live performance is also included.
