PHYS 235 Electric Circuits - 3 credits Equivalent: ENGR 235 Prerequisite(s): PHYS 137 and MATH 160 or MATH 160B , or PHYS 212 This course is an introduction to electrical circuit theory and its application to practical direct and alternating current circuits. Topics include: Kirchhoff’s laws, fundamental principles of network theorems, transient and steady-state response of RC, RL and RLC circuits by classical methods, time-domain and frequency-domain relationships, phasor analysis and power.
