ARTS 262 Introduction to Photography - 3 credits Students of this course learn to interpret visual imagery, see and communicate visually, and craft photographs through the exploration and practice of image making. Through a combination of lectures, demonstrations, exercises, and critique students learn the fundamental tools, practice, and visual language of the medium. This course emphasizes the use of photography as a mode for personal expression through the creative use of the camera, imaging editing, and a critical awareness of issues in contemporary photography.
