CMWS 642 - Applications of Isotope Geochemistry - 3 credits

Prerequisite(s): MSCI 304 and 305 or consent of instructor
An introduction to the manifold uses of stable and radioactive isotopes in elucidating biologic and inorganic reaction pathways and past environmental conditions in marine and terrestrial systems. Topics include paleotemperature, paleosalinity, estuarine mixing, as well as biological pathways and global biogeochemical cycles.
