IDS 385 - ‘Screens’: Communication Systems in Global Media (3 credits)

(=CLC 385) Approaches to the properties and interaction of communication systems in the phenomenon of ‘screens’ — devices with global connectivity that are rapidly transforming interpersonal and intercultural communication. The course considers the origins, elements and functions of various kinds of intermodal communication as well as their scope (possibilities and limits).
