EDEL 314 - Emergent Literacy Development (3 credits)


(Prereq: Admission to the Professional Program in Teacher Education) This course will prepare candidates to understand language and literacy acquisition, the interrelationship of literacy and language, and instructional strategies and resources necessary for teaching beginning readers and writers, with a focus on children from birth through grade three. Practicum experiences required. Concurrent enrollment in EDEL 341  is required. F, S.
