MCJ 385 - Improvisation and Jazz/Pop Theory II (3 credits)


(Prereq: MCJ 381 , MUS 116 , and MUS 118 ) A course open to all musicians interested in continuing studies in improvising in a jazz or popular music context. Course includes study in jazz/pop harmony and forms, voice-leading, modal theory, advanced improvisational approaches, and intermediate/advanced repertoire associated with the jazz performance tradition.
