PHYS 341 - Thermodynamics and Statistical Mechanics (3 credits)

(Prereq: MATH 161 , PHYS 214 , and PHYS 212  or PHYS 213 ) An introduction to thermal physics and statistical mechanics, covering entropy, heat, temperature, the Carnot Cycle, free energy, thermodynamic potential, phase equilibria, and the laws of thermodynamics.
