Finance: Wealth Management Concentration, B.S.B.A.

Finance is the art and science of managing money in public and private enterprises. It encompasses a wide array of theory, concepts, applications, and analytical tools needed for effective decision-making. Finance majors will be prepared to enter careers in corporate finance, investments, portfolio analysis and management, and financial markets and institutions.

Students completing the finance major will have competencies in both corporate finance and investment analysis.

Student Learning Outcomes

1.1. Capital Budgeting

Students will be able to demonstrate fundamental knowledge of capital budgeting.

1.3. Working Capital Management

Students will be able to demonstrate fundamental knowledge of working capital management. 

2.1. Equity Securities

Students will be able to demonstrate fundamental knowledge of equity securities. 

2.2. Fixed-Income Securities

Students will be able to demonstrate fundamental knowledge of fixed-income securities. 

2.3. Derivative Securities

Students will be able to demonstrate fundamental knowledge of derivative securities. 

3.1. Financial Institutions

Students will be able to demonstrate fundamental knowledge of financial institutions. 

3.2. Financial Markets

Students will be able to demonstrate fundamental knowledge of financial markets. 

3.3. Financial Regulations

Students will be able to demonstrate fundamental knowledge of financial regulations. 

4.1. Accounting Analysis

Students will be able to demonstrate fundamental knowledge of accounting analysis. 

4.2. Financial Analysis

Students will be able to demonstrate fundamental knowledge of financial analysis. 

4.3. Investment Analysis

Students will be able to demonstrate fundamental knowledge of investment analysis.
