The Certificate in Applied Archaeology is designed to provide students with hands-on training in archaeological methods. This training prepares students for employment as archaeological field and laboratory technicians in the cultural resource management industry, which provides public and private agencies with compliance for regulations governing the treatment of archaeological sites and historic resources. As a supplement to a range of majors and minors, the Applied Archaeology Certificate requires 13 credit hours of training and provides the minimum employment qualifications for jobs in the discipline.
