EDAD 785 - Action Research in Higher Education (3 credits)

(Prereq: Students must be admitted to the Doctor of Philosophy in Education program or by permission of the instructor) This graduate course introduces students to action research as a technique of improving teaching, learning, and other practices within higher education. Students gain hands-on experience completing research in college/university classrooms, learning assistance centers, and/or other college/university learning environments. The course explores the relative strengths and potential challenges of different approaches to action research, as well as ethical issues associated with action research.
