GEOG 316 - GIS for Government (3 credits) (Prereq: GEOG 200 or GEOG 204 ) This course provides students with factual, conceptual, and procedural knowledge needed to develop and apply spatial thinking and problem solving skills to real-world problems in a variety of contexts including urban and regional planning, environmental health and public safety, historic preservation, and ecosystem services and sustainability. These goals are achieved through hands-on application of geospatial tools and technologies to assist and inform decision-making processes.
