ARTS 103 Fundamentals of Art I - 3 credits

Fundamentals of Art I is a comprehensive overview of the elements and principles of two-dimensional design. Students in this course will be challenged to solve complex, creative problems through the utilization of the gestalt principles and color while experimenting with a variety of materials relevant to the process. The relationship between composition and craftsmanship will be emphasized while exploring the place of art within a contemporary environment.
