MSCI 315L Field Methods in Oceanographic Data Analysis Laboratory - 1 credit

Prerequisite(s): MSCI 111, MSCI 111L, and MATH 131 or equivalent
Corequisite(s): MSCI 315
The laboratory is a hands-on introduction to oceanographic data collection, using the oceanographic equipment found at a field station. Students will learn how common oceanographic instrumentation functions, deploy and retrieve instruments, and acquire and process data from the cruise. This laboratory is part of a three week Maymester or Summer field experience plus preparatory meetings and assignments during the previous semester.
