AMST 300 The American Experience - 3 credits

This is the core course for students pursuing a minor or certificate in American Studies. This course introduces students to concepts and methodologies in the field of American Studies through the study of American society and culture. The course examines competing conceptualizations of America and American identity and how these competing ideals shape the ethos of the United States.
