PRSC 495 Q Public Relations Internship - 1-6 credits Equivalent: COMM 495 Q or COMM 496 Q or JOUR 495 Q Restriction(s): Instructor permission Prerequisite(s): PRSC 309; Must have completed or be in the process of completing 45 credit hours or more. Provides professional experience and instruction while working with a public relations- or advertising-specific media or organization. Topics vary by internship but may include professional planning, best practices, and evaluation of organizations. Students gain professional knowledge, skills, and networking opportunities with professionals in their field. Requires 40 hours of on-site work for each 1 credit (up to 240 hours of on-site work for 6 credits), as well as a journal and a final paper. May be repeated for up to 9 total internship credits.
