This course is the study of the content and pedagogy that promote candidates’ development of critical thinking, problem solving, and performance skills in science. This course focuses on the constructivist approach to teaching and learning science, instructional methods and materials that encourage early childhood students to develop scientific literacy and inquiry, and practices that align with the South Carolina State Standards for Science. Throughout the course, class work is connected to the field experience.
