HTC Honors College

Mission Statement

The HTC Honors College aspires to create a community of scholars that cultivates curiosity, inspires creativity, fosters interdisciplinary understanding, and encourages innovation. Students in the college will be provided with academic support and meaningful mentorship while they are encouraged to embrace challenges and pursue personal growth and the development of their intellectual autonomy. Our college seeks to provide opportunities for all members of the CCU community that will facilitate more purposeful lives as educated and engaged citizens.

Vision

The HTC Honors College endeavors to involve students, faculty, and staff from across the Coastal Carolina University campus in an interdisciplinary community of scholars and creators. We believe in the pursuit of interdisciplinary breadth and complexity, while at the same time encouraging our students to develop disciplinary depth and expertise in their major. We aim to foster an environment where teaching and learning take place inside the classroom, across campus, and in the community. The HTC Honors College cultivates students who are committed to engagement in both our local and global communities and who strive to build a better world for all.
