                  BSHA 455  Introduction to Health Informatics  -  3 credits      Prerequisite(s):  Statistics     This course offers a comprehensive introduction to the dynamic field of health informatics. Health informatics is dedicated to harnessing the power of data, information, and knowledge to drive advancements in individual health, healthcare systems, public health initiatives, and health-related research. Students develop a foundation in informatics skills and knowledge to apply to a wide range of health-related challenges.  Application activities include simple data analysis and visualization of clinical data and answering clinical questions using information retrieval methods.
