COMM 495 Q Communication Internship - 1 to 6 credits

Equivalent: COMM 496, JOUR 495 Q, PRSC 495 Q

Prerequisite(s): COMM 101 or COMM 140; Must have completed or be in the process of completing 45 credit hours or more.
Provides professional experience and instruction while working with a media or communication organization. Topics vary by internship but may include professional planning, best practices, and evaluation of organizations. Students gain professional knowledge, skills, and networking opportunities with professionals in their field. Requires 40 hours of on-site work for each 1 credit (up to 240 hours of on-site work for 6 credits), as well as a journal and a final paper. May be repeated for up to 9 total internship credits.
