HIST 390 History of American Business - 3 credits

Prerequisite(s): HIST 201 or HIST 202
The course will survey the American economy from colonial times to the late twentieth century. The development of agriculture, commerce, manufacturing, and finance will be explored. Emphasis will be given the roles of technology and innovation concurrent with territorial expansion. Students will review government policies regarding taxation, currency, labor, and banking.
