HIST 404 Q* Topics in Late Antiquity - 3 credits This course will examine a variety of historical developments that took place in late antiquity (c. 200-800 CE) through such lenses as the political, social, religious, cultural, economic, intellectual, and military changes of the period. Topics may include sport and entertainment; barbarian migrations, ethnicity, and identity; the transformations of Mediterranean powers, shifts in late-antique art, architecture, and urbanization, or other topics as determined by the instructor. This course may be taken for up to six hours of credit under different topics. Semester(s) Offered: Fall, Spring, Summer
