NUR 410 Population Health Nursing - 4 credits Prerequisite(s): NUR 301 , NUR 305 , and NUR 305L Q with a C or better Provides the student with the knowledge and skills to apply health promotion, prevention of disease complications, environmental and epidemiological concepts and teaching/learning principles in working with populations. Emphasis is placed on establishing partnerships, assessment strategies and implementation of nursing care programs. A practicum experience provides the student with the opportunity to collaborate with nurses practicing in community-based roles. Students assess, plan, implement, and evaluate a health promotion or disease complication prevention program for a selected aggregate. Semester(s) Offered: Offered as needed
