STAT 201 Elementary Statistics - 3 credits Prerequisite(s): A grade of ‘C’ or better in any MATH class other than MATH 130A Corequisite(s): STAT 201L An introductory course in the fundamentals of modern statistical methods. Topics include descriptive statistics, introduction to probability, random variables and sampling distribution, linear regression and correlation, testing of hypothesis concerning one and two population samples, confidence interval estimation of parameters and introduction to one way ANOVA (analysis of variance).
