Important political and economic decisions increasingly require scientific thinking and technological knowledge: Alternative energy, climate change, terrorism, nuclear weapons, health hazards, surveillance, space exploration, and more. This course demonstrates the scientific principles taught in the lecture PHYS 104. The emphasis is on the scientific process using hands-on active learning techniques, learning fundamental physics concepts.
