The Department of Nursing and Health Sciences focuses on evidence-based best practices for disease prevention, health assessment, health management, health promotion, patient safety and quality care in primary, secondary, and tertiary health care settings. Through the department’s rich history of community collaborations and diverse faculty research interests, students have the opportunity to participate in hands-on clinical activities locally, nationally, and internationally. 

The department offers Bachelor of Science degrees in health sciences, nursing (RN to BSN completion and a collaborative 2 + 2 Nursing Residential program between Coastal Carolina and Horry Georgetown Technical College).
