Sustainability and Coastal Resilience Minor

Sustainability and Coastal Resilience is an interdisciplinary minor degree program that teaches students to think about important issues in sustainable development from a variety of disciplinary perspectives.  The program embraces its location to educate students about environmental issues affecting a sustainable ecosystem, as well as economic and community sustainability and resilience with a keen focus on equity and justice. 

Unique to this program, students will apply knowledge and skills to the issues specifically facing coastal communities through coursework that focuses on coastal resiliency, a growing subfield in the sustainability profession. The interdisciplinary degree program allows students to design their own pathway through their minor, choosing areas of study and coursework that reflect their interests, passions, and complement their major and career goals.
