The Minor in Health Informatics is an interdisciplinary, specialized program offered through the Department of Public Health. The minor requires 18 semester credit hours. Health Informatics integrates health sciences, information science, computing, and data analytics to assist healthcare professionals to organize, analyze, and apply health information to improve clinical decisions and patient outcomes. The minor in health informatics is designed to complement existing majors including the Bachelor of Science in health sciences, Bachelor of Science in public health, and other majors across the university.
